Fall '17 designs by Badgley Mischka (237688)

“If you can spend hours getting dressed, it’s fabulous,” stated designer Mark Badgley, who with James Mischka founded the label Badgley Mischka. “However, a woman should also be able to bring a dress to work and change there for an evening out.”

Design partners since 1988, when they launched their company, the two have remained true to their design philosophy. For fall ’17, their stylish evening gowns are sophisticated and glamorous. The glitzy shoes and sneakers added a special yet spunky sparkle to the show.

Both men spent time designing for leading names—Badgley for Donna Karan and Mischka for WilliWear WilliSmith—before teaming up to work on their line. They met at Parson’s School of Design in New York and share a similar design aesthetic about clothes and the way people dress.

“Our style harkens back to the glamorous Hollywood of the ’40s,” said Mischka.

“The Badgley Mischka signature style is simple, streamlined and thoroughly modern.” Badgley commented, “One zip and you’re glamorous. We like to keep things effortless.”

Their timeless designs appeal to a range of fashionable women, including Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Madonna, Sharon Stone, Jennifer Garner, Julia Roberts, Kate Winslet, Sarah Jessica Parker, Helen Mirren and Ashley Judd. Their designs are constructed of the finest fabrics with superior craftsmanship. There is always an element of interest and surprise, either to a silhouette or with

luxurious detail.

Badgley Mischka is sold in the most prestigious stores in the world, including Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue. Their clothes are also available at the Bagley Mischka flagship boutique in Beverly Hills.
