“Walking Towards a Courageous Victory” (Esther 4:1-17) was Brooklyn Community Church’s 2017 Women’s Day theme. Sunday, April 23, BCC’s women led the service and were honored for their work in the church and in the community. The Rev. Kimberly Headley, associate minister of Berean Baptist Church, was the guest preacher. Her sermon was titled, “When God Uses a Woman to Get the Job Done.”

The service culminated with the presentation of the program “Sisterhood Awards: Honoring Women Who Make a Difference.” Awards went to Sister Audrey Hunter for Woman-of-the-Year, Deacon Adrienne Freeman for Sister-of-the-Year and the Rev. Michele Taylor for Community Woman of the Year.
