New York State Sen. James Sanders Jr. is partnering with The Rockaway Development and Revitalization Corporation and the West Indian American Day Carnival Association to present the Rockaway Caribbean Carnival Saturday, Aug. 19. Sanders represents the 10th Senatorial District in Queens, New York. He has been serving as state senator since January 2013. At this carnival, there will be live performances, food and merchandise vendors, culturally related activities and entertainment. There will be also a parade starting on Mott Avenue and Beach 20th Street and ending on Beach 17th amphitheater in the park. The carnival will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
