The New Jersey State Conference of the NAACP is set to hold its 2017 convention at the Hilton Parsippany Hotel Oct. 5 through Oct. 8 in Parsippany, N.J.
This year’s theme for the four-day convention is “Relating to the Past, Understanding the Present and Preparing for the Future.” The convention will feature workshops, a job fair and a gala awards banquet.
The convention will open with a job fair Oct. 5 followed by the gala awards banquet Oct. 6, featuring keynote speaker Angela Ray, principal and CEO of IMPACT Strategies.
Black Panther Party co-founder and political activist Bobby Seale will give the keynote address at the MembeRship Brunch Oct. 7.
