Reports indicate that Washington D.C. law enforcement has given the all clear at Howard University after reports of an active shooter.
Two calls were reportedly made that there was an active shooter on the campus on Tuesday. One of the calls was made to the Howard University College of Medicine about the potential shooter. A text message was sent to student alert them about the threat. Buildings were evacuated as a percaution.
“We have found no evidence, no witnesses, that there was a shooting on our campus,” Alonzo Joy, the university’s interim police chief, said at a news conference.
Howard University is in the middle of its Homecoming Week. They will play Morgan State University on Saturday.
