Add food coloring for a pop of color!

Add 1 to 2 pinches of baking soda. Mix slowly until dissolved.

Mix continuously until slime starts to form. Continue to add additional saline solution until you reach your desired consistency.

The more you knead and play with your slime, the firmer and less sticky it will become!

To accomplish her goal, Greenspan’s slime must exceed a weight of 5,000 kilograms or 11,024 pounds to be crowned record holder. The process publicly started in March 2017, when Greenspan first launched Maddie Rae’s Slime Glue. She was determined to make glue that was specifically used for slime, with white and clear glue. Her father, Howard Greenspan, owner of a consumer products company, helped his daughter make her own brand.

Since March, Maddie Rae’s Slime Glue has expanded, offering slime jars, food coloring, custom glitter and microbeads. The event to create the largest slime will take place at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City at 11 a.m. Nov. 4 at Play Fair New York, Booth #152.

Play Fair is expected to draw more than 30,000 children and parents Nov. 4 and Nov. 5 say organizers. This event will allow visitors to see how slime is made and to take slime home as well. In addition to Greenspan’s record-breaking slime attempt, she will engage in a special meet and greet at Maddie Rae’s Slime Glue booth #311 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. for those who are interested in her craft. Some 3,000 jars will be filled with the slime and given to Play Fair attendees as a memento. Another 2,000 jars will be sold online, with profits going to Hand in Hand, a hurricane relief charity.

Mike Janela, host and producer of “Little Things,” will judge the event live and show the result at the completion of the attempt. Slime Instagram and YouTube celebs such as KeepCalmandBlushOn, ScentedSlimeByAmy, SlimeyCereal,

Tribbleslime, Joseph Anthonii-Uniicornslimeshop, Mommyof3xo, TheBombSlime, Trillslime and RainbowPlaymaker will also be participating in the attempt to break the world’s largest slime record.

“I have been making slime since the summer of 2016 and insist that slime should not only be fun, but safe,” said Greenspan. “I never use Borax so there is never a risk of skin irritation.” Maddie Rae’s Slime Glue can be found on or
