“Worse than being a liar or a narcissist, in addition he is paranoid, delusional and grandiose thinking, and he proved that to the country the first day he was president,” said Dr. John Gartner, a founding member of Duty to Warn, an organization of mental health professionals who feel Trump is unfit to be president. “If Donald Trump really believes he had the largest crowd size in history, that’s delusional.”

In the past weeks, Trump has speculated and suggested that the voice on the recording on which he boasted about grabbing women’s private parts was not him. Even though he had publicly apologized and acknowledged the authenticity of the recording, he might be now considering an investigation.

Trump is also claiming that he lost the popular vote in the election because of widespread voter fraud. There is a fundamental mental problem when the president is unable to divorce himself from his own version of reality. The president’s own version of reality is the beginning of his “alternative facts” that most of the time end up in a lie.

Most of the things the president does are unprecedented, and there is a complete disregard for the truth. The Republicans are starting to make excuses for the crazy statements made by the president, and every day someone from either party acknowledges that Trump is not fit to be one of the most powerful men on the planet.

Major allies around the world are starting to publicly criticize Trump’s statements and not believe his stories. Maybe to Trump’s base it does not matter who believes his stories and speeches, but the other 65 percent of Americans are sick of his delusional reality and believe they are being put at risk.

His delusions could be the beginning of dementia, but something is wrong when the story changes every two months and sometimes the very next day. It is obvious that Trump does not care what the majority of Americans think. Because his administration and the media cannot get a straight answer from the president, his integrity and accountability does not exist.

When the Republicans vote for a tax bill and no one knows what is in the bill, and some of the changes are in pencil, something is wrong.

The country is in a sad state when the president only wants a win and the content is not important. It does not matter who the tax bill hurts, but getting the bill across the finish line is the only thing important to him.

Insanity is contagious and many psychiatrists can recognize dangerousness from a mile away. “You don’t have to be an expert on dangerousness or spend 50 years studying it like I have in order to know how dangerous this man is,” said Gartner. “Trump is mentally ill and must be removed.”

When the president is bipolar and suffering from mental illness, it is time to take action. Most Republicans are in denial, and many Democrats know the truth but are not sure what to do.

Billionaire Tom Steyer is leading the way by launching a $10 million campaign calling for Trump’s impeachment. Trump’s impeachment must start as a movement from the bottom up, and Steyer is one of the leaders.

You might not have $10 million to initiate a campaign, but you have influence over the people you know who care about the state of America. You may be a political activist, a member of a church, a business owner or a soccer mom, but it starts with your voice and communicating the truth.

Trump is not mentally fit to be president of the United States, according to mental health professionals, and his delusional lies and stories are putting the country at risk. When you can’t believe anything the president says, he should not be leading the country.
