The Colgate Women’s Games Championships concluded their 44th season Saturday with another day of track and field events.
The finals were held at The Armory on Fort Washington Avenue between West 168th and 169th streets, the New Balance Track and Field Center. Semifinalists competed on championship day to decide the winners in each of the six divisions: Elementary A, Elementary B, Middle School, High School, College (Open) and 30 Plus. There were several categories in each division: 55 Meters, 55 Meter Hurdles, 200 Meters, 400 Meters, 800 Meters, 1500 Meters, High Jump and Shot Put.
This season’s participants traveled from as far away as Georgia to compete here. The games provide a major platform for college recruitment and host some of the nation’s most heavily recruited, top-ranked athletes.
