NYUL Black College Fair (103018)

The Malcolm Bernard Historically Black Colleges and Universities Week is holding fairs in New Jersey Nov. 11-16 at five locations.

The fairs feature more than 45 HBCU admissions professionals offering scholarships, application fee waivers and on-site admission to college. There will also be motivational workshops, financial aid information and HBCU alumni workshops.

Colleges participating in this year’s fair include Alabama State University, Clark Atlanta University, Hampton University, Lincoln University of Pennsylvania and North Carolina A&T University.

The tour kicks off in New York Nov. 10 at the Riverbank State Park from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The fair is being held in partnership with the New York Urban League. The tour continues in New Jersey at Mercer County Community College in West Windsor Nov. 11 from noon to 3 p.m., the BB&T Pavilion in Camden Nov. 13 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Raritan Valley Community College Thursday, Nov. 15, from 8:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. and New Jersey Institute of Technology Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

High school students and community college students are welcome. Juniors and seniors are advised to bring their official transcript, complete application and their ACT/SAT scores to be considered for on-site admission. Professional dress is strongly recommended for students.
