Several New Yorkers attended a golf outing in Southern Pines, N.C. In total there were 180 golfers. They were from all over the United States. There were several different ways to compete, but participants were required to play with different golfers each day. Competition was fierce, but the camaraderie made golfers forget they were competing against other folks who were a part of the event. The area is known for having many golf courses. That is why people from all over come to that location to display their golfing skills. Aside from golfing, they also shared meals together, which provided more opportunity to interact with folks from all over. In some cases, they were able to reunite with old classmates and friends from their college days.
