It’s time to laugh. What else can you do to make yourself feel better in these “challenging” times? The legendary talent that has graced the stages of the Apollo Theater is staggering, and the 2018-2019 winter/spring lineup for the Apollo Comedy Club will get even the crankiest people in a good mode.

Apollo Comedy Club shows start at 10 p.m., food and drink service begin at 9 p.m. and the monthly series kicks off Thursday, Feb. 7,  with performances by comedians Rey Gibbs, Correy Bell and Schuler King. Shows will feature Apollo Comedy Club’s resident deejay DJ Qool Marv, along with host Drew Fraser.

The series continues March 14 with JoJo Collins, Calise Hawkins, Barbara Carlyle and host Mugga; April 11 with Cookie Hull, Jason Weems, Kris Atkins and host A.G. White; May 2 with Aminah Imani, Daniel Tirado, Edgar Rivera and host Kool Bubba Ice; and June 13 with Hassan Oliver, Phil Hunt, Rita Brent and host Kenny Williams.

Tickets for Apollo Comedy Club are $22 and $15 in advance for the Apollo’s A-list. There is a $10 drink/food minimum for each show.
