The organizers of African Restaurant Week produced a new week of events to celebrate Black History Month entitled A Taste of Africa Week. The week-long event began Feb. 16 and will run until this Saturday, Feb. 23.

Food lovers will get an opportunity to enjoy special discounted menus at several restaurants in Manhattan and Brooklyn along with pop-up events. Participating restaurants include Tsion Cafe, Queen of Sheba, Accra Restaurant, Lenox Saphire, La Savane Harlem, Le Baobab (Brooklyn), Ponty Bistro and more.

Tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 22, head to Taste of Africa & Beats at TSQ lounge at 723 7th Ave., 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., for a professionals, entrepreneurs and culture enthusiasts mixer.

The week culminates this Saturday at the festival. From 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., step into MIST Harlem, 46 W. 116th St., to celebrate Black History Month while you shop, eat, mingle and dance to an Afrobeats DJ and discover your favorite diaspora cuisine.
