Friday, April 12, 7:30-9:30 p.m.—Harlem Stage (150 Convent Avenue) welcomes Grammy nominated Christian Scott as part of their Stretch Music Festival ($25, plus a service fee of $3). Curated by artist-in-residence, aTunde Adjuah, the festival features performances from himself, Saul Williams, Logan Richardson and more.
Saturday, April 13, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.—Mano a Mano: Mexican Culture Without Borders celebrates “El Día del Nino/Children’s Day,” at Sugar Hill Children’s Museum of Art & Storytelling (898 Saint Nicholas Avenue). There will be art making for the entire family and traditional Mexican toys on display. Children up to age 8 are free, aged 9-17 are $4, adults $7.
The last of the April series will be held on Friday, April 26, at Columbia Wine Co. (4038 Broadway). They are presenting the Harlem Cocktail Classic tasting featuring libations born from Harlem throughout time. Think the Spanish Harlem and the infamous Nutcracker plus wines, food, music and a good time. The event is free but you must RSVP (21+ only).
