The public attended a memorial service for late WBLS personality Bob Slade.
The service took place on Tuesday at the Abyssinian Baptist Church in Harlem. Members of the community filled the church to pay their respects to the radio legend.
Slade died in March at age 70 from kidney disease. His family had a private funeral service at the time of his death. Slade is best remembered as the longtime host of the public affairs radio show “Open Line.”
