The Rotary Club of Harlem is hosting a fundraiser gala on Friday, May 10, at the National Black Theater from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Harlem Renaissance.
The black-tie event is a salute to the movie “Harlem Nights” and will feature singers and dancers including saxophonist Tyrone Benjamin and swing dancer Samuel Coleman.
Honorees at the event include Harlem Community Development Corporation president, Curtis Archer, and Ted Swartwood, regional manager NY/NJ of The Outreach Program.
The Rotary Club of Harlem was chartered in 1966 and is a community based charter member of Rotary International. The organization plans and develops community and international service projects.
