The State Fair Meadowlands recently kicked off and runs through July 7. This year’s event features rides, exhibits and attractions, including The All-New Jurassic Kingdom Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show and the original Batcopter from Batman.
Spread over 35 acres, State Fair Meadowlands is the largest in the New York Metro area. Fairgoers are being treated to preview night on June 20 with gate admission tickets for $8 and Unlimited Ride Hand Stamps for $22 for all ages. Friday, June 14, is Dollar Day, with admission $10 for all ages, and just $2 each for rides, food, games, select food and drinks and parking.
This year’s attractions include the Cycle Circus Live, which features the largest FMX freestyle entertainment show of its kind in the world; Extreme Illusions & Escapes Show featuring large scale Las Vegas style illusions; and the Jungle Island High Dive Show featuring acrobatic divers dressed as wild animals such as zebras, tigers, leopards and giraffes.
Fair hours are 6 p.m. to midnight; Fridays from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.; Saturdays from 2 p.m.-1a.m.; and Sundays from 2 p.m.-12 a.m. Parking is free Monday to Wednesday and costs $2 on June 21 and $5 other days and July 3 and 4. Free shuttle buses will proceed from/to the New Jersey Transit Secaucus Junction station.
