Saturday, June 29, 2019, Peace in the Park Festival was hosted in Clove Lakes Park, Staten Island, by the nonprofit organization True 2 Life, an anti-gun violence initiative. Based at the Central Family Life Center in recognition of Gun Violence Awareness Month, the community-centered event ran from 12-7 p.m., with music, food, bounce houses, basketball tournaments, a concert and much more. Partners included the Community Affairs Bureau, NYCID, Legal Aid Society, The Parks Department and many more.
