Writer/performer Connie Winston (right) discussed the upcoming performance of her solo show “American Captives: Lena Baker & Sandra Bland” with WBAI (99.5-FM) radio host, producer and activist Malika Lee Whitney (left) during the Sept. 27 evening broadcast of the station’s multi-discipline arts focused program “Untitled.” Scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 6, 4 p.m. in Manhattan as part of the United Solo Theatre Festival, “Captives” focuses on the relationship between Black women and the U.S. criminal justice system during the 60 years between the deaths of Baker and Bland.
