Now you can stroll down Randy Weston Way in Brooklyn.

The super fierce sun beat down on dozens of family members, friends and fans of the great jazz and African rhythms musician Randy Weston, as a Clinton Hill corner was co-named in his honor.

The apex of Grand and Lafayette Avenues is now to be known as Randy Weston Way.

Those who managed to get a seat under the big tent were surrounded by equally joyous Sunday 29th September, jazz aficionados who came to honor the legend. There were speeches, performances and many accolades given to the recently late diaspora-influenced Weston. State assemblyman Charles Baron and Walter Mosley witnessed the unveiling alongside the likes of: Attorney General Leticia James, City Councilmembers Inez Barron and Laurie Cumbo, Elder Statesman Al Vann, Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, District Leader Olanike Alabi, and musical greats Rodney Kendrick and Eric Frazier.
