Last Saturday, Chiara Boni La Petite Robe presented her fall/winter 2020-21 NYFW collection on the curve of the body. With an almost 1940s-style flashback, this designer embraced an exuberant, vibrant Spanish mood that merged well with the lively, upbeat vibe of the ’40s. Clothes were fitted; there were fierce fringes and eye-catching polka dots peppering printed silk details and enriching elegant evening gowns.

The intriguing, rich textures were center stage in the lineup. Think about the fashions of actresses like Greta Garbo, Betty Grable, and Audrey Hepburn in the Humphrey Bogart days. Plush velvet was juxtaposed with the brand’s signature sustainable jersey fabric, which was also treated to create tactile effects. Solid tones of black, blue, burgundy, lime yellow, kelly green and pink found places next to feminine maxi floral patterns. More mannish sartorial motifs included Prince of Wales, herringbone and checks made more glamorous through glittery effects and delicate hues. Top models such as Maria Borges, Anna Cleveland, Martha Hunt and Devon Windsor walked in the show.

Special guests and friends supporting the designer and her collection included Jamie Chung, Kyra Kennedy, Cara Kennedy Cuomo, Marianne Fonseca, Ashley Haas, Janet Montgomery, and Tiana Parker,

among others.

Speaking to a new generation, their details include fringe embellishments, paillettes, embroideries, appliqués and more. The Hoodas have played a pivotal role in establishing the Secteur 6 district of Delhi, India into a regenerative and transformative region that touts state-of-the-art facilities with impeccable design and production. The Secteur 6 brand specializes in organic and regenerative manufacturing. From dying techniques to locally sourced and organically created fabrics and textiles, their clothes are game changers. Their main mission is to eliminate poverty for the people in their region by employing farmers, regenerate the environment and sell a conscious and chic collection which changes the world one look at a time.

The Hoodas have set their sights on the fashion industry. They tapped People’s Revolution to oversee the build-out of the Secteur 6 brand. For their tone and direction, the brothers secured designer Rosemary Rodriguez, the former creative director of Paco Rabanne, Thierry Mugler, Maje and many more.

“There is a serious change afoot and Secteur 6 is committed to changing the direction of where the earth is heading while simultaneously elevating the feminine in all her forms,” says Amit Hooda. Secteur 6 developed and created new textile innovations by using bananas, rose petals, organic cotton, hemp bamboo, and plant-based viscose. All of these products are utilized in the collection.

The collection was fun, fresh and definitely needed in the fashion world. The brand also offered both See Now, Buy Now, and Fall deliveries.
