Okay, media mavens, line up for another flogging. As the condemned “enemy of the people,” Trump, with whip in hand, is lashing you again, blaming you for painting such a dire picture of the coronavirus, making it, as he announced the other day after returning from India, “look as bad as possible.”

All things considered, the virus may be much worse than the media or Trump thinks with more than 80,000 people infected globally and more than 2,700 deaths from the pandemic.

The little more than a billion dollars requested by Trump is hardly enough according Sen. Chuck Schumer, who has stated that nearly $9 billion is needed.

“There’s a good chance you’re not going to die,” Trump told reporters, as if he was an official from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Speaker Pelosi said, “I don’t think the president knows what he’s talking about—once again.”

Trump has been hesitant to appoint a czar-like position on the outbreak, perhaps believing such action would be too close to imitating what President Obama did in 2014 when the Ebola virus raged and took more than 11,000 deaths, mainly in West Africa.

On Wednesday Trump has called a press conference that will more than likely deliver additional mixed and convoluted messages on the disease. Will he present the vaccine that he promised was imminent? “We are very close to a vaccine,” he said earlier this week.

There is little confirmation of a vaccine on the way in the immediate future. In fact, officials at the CDC believe it will take from a year to 18 months before one will be available.

None of this means anything to Dr. Trump. Perhaps he has his own laboratory to deliver the remedy, much like his other bizarre concoctions or dismissals as he has done on climate change.

Yes Trump, blame the media for sounding the alarm, one that you have ignored and now claim to have the elixir for. As usual, your claims are outrageous with none of the truth we present when we say that to Make America Great Again—Trump Must Go!
