Two people were injured when scaffolding collapsed in East Harlem this afternoon.

During the demolition of a building at 1978 Madison Ave., scaffolding collapsed bringing down bricks and parts of a crane. Two construction workers were taken to Harlem Hospital and are in serious but stable condition.

Their injuries aren’t life-threatening.
