Bronx Council Member Ritchie Torres confirms he has tested positive for coronavirus.
Making the announcement in a series of tweets on Tuesday, Torres said he found out about the diagnosis Monday night.
“Over the weekend, I learned that a senior staff member had tested positive after experiencing symptoms for several days,” he said. “All members of my staff have quarantined themselves & are now closely monitoring their health.”
Torres added that he will be under quarantine in his apartment in the Bronx for the next few weeks and that he will be working from home.
