Good morning: I am writing as an 85-year-old Black woman with preconditioned health issues that make me most at risk for contacting and dying from the coronavirus. The proposed action by the president to remove the “in home” restrictions will place vulnerable seniors at risk especially since we have not completed the necessary testing to determine who may be infected or a carrier of the virus.
Black seniors in particular who may not have access to quality health care, will suffer most severely. To place economy over the health of people is unjust and immoral. I call upon you to use your resources to expose the consequences and potential danger of such an action. If this proposed action takes place, seniors will become the disposable population if we move around in a community and place ourselves in contact with people who may be infected but not tested . Thank you.
