Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. hosted a virtual town hall on COVID-19 Thursday evening.
The public event brought together several prominent members of the Black sorority to discuss the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the African American community.
Media personality and attorney Star Jones moderated the town hall and was joined by the sorority’s International President Dr. Glenda Glover, sorority members U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris, American Medical Association President Dr. Patrice Harris, journalist Yamiche Alcindor, and political strategist and faith leader Bishop Leah Daughtry.
Alpha Kappa Alpha is the nation’s oldest historically Black sorority. The organization was founded at Howard University in 1908
