NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea is recommending discipline in an early May incident in the East Village where, in video that surfaced on social media, an officer charged at bystanders on a Manhattan street with a taser in his hand.
“The internal investigation is recommending discipline for several members of the Department involved in the incident,” Shea said in a statement Friday. “Charges are expected as early as next week.”
