Stuck in the city for the holiday weekend and need a little elevation from it all? VERSA Rooftop & Restaurant (218 W 35th Street, 646-850-2850, versanyc.com) has reopened its 8,000 square-foot outdoor and open-air rooftop space to the public with revised menu and new hours.

Perched above the juncture of Madison Square Garden and the Garment District and featuring an outdoor rooftop space with views of the Empire State Building and Hudson Yards, VERSA welcomes back guests with new social distancing and health safety protocol in place, following the guidelines of health and elected officials. “We are thrilled to welcome back our staff and guests to VERSA,” said Arthur Backal, CEO of Backal Hospitality Group.

“During our temporary closure, we have been monitoring recommended guidelines closely and have been preparing to reopen and operate under the new normal from reduced capacity, spacing out tables in order to social distance between guests, training our staff and providing PPE including face masks, offering new contactless technology including the NFC chip and QR code that pops up our digital menus on guest’s smart phones, conducting regular cleaning and disinfecting of high-touch areas, and much more. We are looking forward to bringing back our staff, guests and community in a safe and responsible way.”

Thank you and welcome back.
