The Gun Violence Awareness Movement held a Cure Violence rally in Times Square on Saturday, May 15. This citywide shooting response brought attention to the public health crisis that is now dominating crime stories. Taking part were a number of Cure Violence organizations such as: Save Our Streets, Not Another Child, A Father’s Love, A.T. Mitchell’s Man Up Inc., RTG, Bartendaz, BRISE, LifeCamp, SAVE, Guns Down – Life Up, G.M.A.C.C., and Until Freedom.
