Join the 19th annual ImageNation Outdoors festival for the NYC premiere of “Red Pill” at NYC Movies Under the Stars. The one-night only event takes place Friday, Aug. 13 at St. Nicholas Park (135th Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue). The screening is free and the festivities begin at 7 p.m., with the film starting approximately at 8:30 p.m. or sundown.
From Tony award-winning actress Tonya Pinkins comes “Red Pill,” an award-winning, visually stunning, progressive dystopian nightmare: Halloween weekend of the 2020 election, six old friends ride into red country armed with humor and naiveté. When they meet an immovable force, their plans are thwarted and their fight to win the election becomes a fight for their lives.
Joining Pinkins prior to the film are several of her co-stars, including Kathryn Erbe, Luba Mason, Jake O’Flaherty and Adesola Osakalumi for a talkback. COVID precautions will be observed.
