NEW YORK (AP) — Three young men were wounded in a shooting outside a gathering in Midtown Manhattan, police said Wednesday.
The shooting Tuesday night stemmed from a dispute at the gathering, which was being held in a rental space, said New York Police Department Lt. Thomas Antonetti. Three people were taken into custody, including two of the wounded, he said.
Details about the gathering weren’t immediately available, but Antonetti said initial reports that the gathering was at a music recording studio weren’t accurate.
The wounded included a 19-year-old who was shot in a leg, and a 24-year-old and 27-year-old who were shot in the torso, Antonetti said. The 19- and 27-year-old were taken into custody along with a 17-year-old, he said.
Three guns were recovered, Antonetti said, and the shooting was under investigation.
