The 125th Street BID hosted the 28th Annual Harlem Holiday Lights event, which took place on Tuesday, lighting up the 125th Street corridor signaling the official launch of the holiday season.
This year’s Grand Marshal was Nick Cannon, who recently launched his brand-new syndicated daytime talk show, which is taped in Harlem.
The event featured a cavalcade of holiday inspired floats and slingshot vehicles carrying VIPS, celebrities and local dignitaries. The parade proceeded from Broadway and 125th Street down to 5th Avenue and the Mount Morris Park Area, looping back up the famed corridor passing the Apollo Theatre and The Theresa Hotel. Officials concluded the event by flipping the switch on the holiday lights decorating 125th Street lighting up the famed corridor.
