The AmNews has confirmed that former Harlem state senator and councilman Bill Perkins has been found. Police say he disappeared from his home Tuesday afternoon.
Perkins, 72, suffers from dementia. His wife said he was last seen at their home on Morningside Avenue in Harlem.
A Democrat, Perkins served on the City Council from 1998 to 2005 and again from 2017 to 2021 representing the 9th District. He was a state senator representing the 30h District from 2007 to 2017.
