NEW YORK (AP) — A second person was arrested in connection to the death of an 11-year-old girl who was shot on a Bronx street by a bullet intended for someone else, police said Monday.
The New York Police Department said Omar Bojang, 18, faces charges including murder and manslaughter in the death of Kyhara Tay, who died last week after being shot in the stomach.
It was unclear if he had an attorney to comment.
Authorities alleged Bojang was driving a scooter with a 15-year-old passenger and the two were chasing a 13-year-old boy down a Bronx street. Police said the passenger fired a gun, hitting Kyhara.
The 15-year-old was arrested Friday and also faces murder and manslaughter charges. He was being charged as an adult
