  1. Calvin O Butts III was a friend indeed. A true man of God. I had known him for 48 years. We met at Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York.
He could look at him and known that God had called him to do a great work. Calvin called me a week so before he died. I am glad he did. I prayed for him and his family every day. I will deeply miss him.
Calvin trusted in God. He was a man of honesty, truth and love. He was a true Christian preacher of the Gospel of Jesus the Christ. Thank God for the ministry of Calvin Otis Butts, III.
We are praying for you Patricia Butts and the Butts family.

  2. Many years ago my friend and I attend jazz vespers on a wonderful Sunday afternoon at Abyssinian! It was marvelous and magical! Reverend Butts was a lover of the arts!
