The City of Newark will receive a donation of more than 100 Christmas trees from Mendham-based Hidden Pond Tree Farm, and its owner, Christian Nicholson, to give to Newark residents, on Monday, Dec. 19 at City Hall.

The trees will be given to families in attendance to provide seasonal cheer. The remaining trees will be split up into batches for each of the five wards. Nicholson’s motive to support the city is to provide Newark with Christmas cheer to “give back to the city at this hectic time of year,” he said.

The tree farm has been in business since 1999, selling Christmas trees throughout the Tri-State area.
