In honor of their 65th Independence Day on Monday, March 6, 2023, the New York-based Ghanaian community hosted a flag-raising in celebration at Bowling Green, next to the Charging Bull statue in Lower Manhattan. Mayor Eric Adams spoke at the celebration.
