NEW YORK (AP) — Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is suing state Attorney General Letitia James in an effort to force her to release interviews from the damaging sexual misconduct investigation that led to his resignation.

Cuomo filed the case against James in New York state court on Thursday, arguing he needs the witness statements in full to defend himself against two sexual harassment lawsuits linked to the investigation.

A federal judge declined to release similar records in a separate case filed by Cuomo last year.

The former governor, once a rising star in the Democratic Party, resigned in 2021 after a report by the attorney general’s office concluded he sexually harassed at least 11 women.

Cuomo has denied the allegations. He and his backers have repeatedly criticized James and the sexual misconduct investigation as unfair. Cuomo is rumored to be contemplating a political comeback.

A spokesperson for James, a Democrat, did not immediately comment on Friday.

  1. I agree and support Andrew Cuomo’s lawsuit since his intentional down fall, LJ along with multiple women of celebrity status jumped on the Me-Too litigious band wagon and simply finger pointed at
any man in a position of power all because some woman claiming to be a victim of sexual assault without a double investigation or lie detector test.

Google a 2021 essay written by Michael Derek Roberts for the Caribbean Times NYC titled “Cuomo should have known better”, and be amazed at how accurate the false accusations without proof are compared to the past incident along with similarities during the lynching years for men of color.
Just because the saying goes they are Sugar, Spice, and everything nice, is nothing more than a saying.

I work for a well-known hospital and must dodge conversations and socializing with so-called married women that misbehave and talk in vulgar fashion for attention, yet warn men to be careful of their responses because they are:
    1. Married, and
    2. They feel creeped out.

Hope and pray Andrew gets a fair trial.
