The 2024 Disney Dreamers Academy kicks off at Walt Disney World on Thursday. The 100 students selected to participate in this year’s event came from across the nation to discover new career opportunities and pursue their dreams.

Students come from all walks of life and experiences. Here’s a snapshot of this year’s class.

• 1: Disney Dreamer who was surprised with news of their selection on Good Morning America
• 3: Event sponsors: Sprite, AT&T, Delta
• 4: Disney Theme Parks Disney Dreamers
• 5: Days the students spend in Walt Disney World
• 8: Alumni returning to participate in the event
• 11: Number of miles Orlando-area student Michaelangelo R. traveled to attend Disney Dreamers Academy, making him the closest in proximity
• 14: Hands-on career workshops known as Living Laboratories, based on the students’ career interests
• 15: Disney Dreamers interested in becoming engineers or future Imagineers, the most popular career path among this year’s students, followed-up entrepreneurs with 14
• 19: Students from California, the state with the highest representation this year, followed by 13 students from Texas and 10 from Georgia
• 17: Years of Disney Dreamers Academy
• 26: States represented at this year’s event
• 50: Students from the South region of the United States (there are also 10 students from the Northeast, 27 from the West and 13 from the Midwest)
• 100: Teens named 2024 Disney Dreamers
• 1,000+: Disney Cast Members involved in planning the program
• 1,600: Disney Dreamers who have participated in the event since its creation
• 3,099: Number of miles student Eleanor T. traveled from Gig Harbor, WA. to Lake Buena Vista, Fla., to attend Disney Dreamers Academy, making her the farthest traveling student
