Students and protests returned to Columbia University this month. Pro-Palestinian and Pro-Israeli demonstrators pushed their messages both on campus and behind police barricades on Broadway outside the university.

On Columbia’s lawn, pro-Palestinian protesters numbered in the dozens and chanted “From Lebanon to Palestine occupation is a crime.” A few pro-Israel demonstrators held up signs in an attempt to distract from the larger group. Outside the university, a small group of pro-Israel demonstrators held up signs and spoke with passersby from behind NYPD barricades as police officers watched from nearby.
