Barbara Bullard, president of the Shirley Chisholm Cultural Institute, and textile artist Bisa Butler, who created the 90-inch-long fabric-quilted piece “Bring a Folding Chair: A Portrait of Shirley Chisholm,” were featured in a conversation about the impact of Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm’s public service career and the impact she still has on Brooklyn and the country 20 years after her death. Museum curator Stephanie Sparling Williams moderated the event, which took place at the Brooklyn Museum.
