Whenever President Trump is up against the wall and seeking a way out of a terrible situation, his first reflex is to blame somebody else for the problem, and former Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden have always been useful scapegoats.

During a recent interview on “Fox & Friends,” Trump assailed both of them, with particularly mean-spirited charges against Obama as a “disaster” and the “worst of all presidents.” It was just the most recent tantrum brought on by his growing frustration with his inability to end the war with Iran.

That impasse has shaken him to the point that he can’t get his facts right. In Turkey during the NATO summit, he was so intent on berating Obama that he incorrectly referred to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which was overseen by the Obama administration to limit its nuclear program, as the “JCPOC.”

Of course, as we and the world know so well, he doesn’t need an endless war to provoke such gaffes. Nor can the war and Obama be blamed for his intervention in the World Cup, or his determination to close down the Smithsonian, or his promise to ask the Supreme Court to rehear his executive order curtailing birthright citizenship. We have no idea what’s next from this discombobulated, so-called leader of the most powerful nation in the world.

What is absolutely certain is that he will do anything to win and would take every step to micromanage the globe. What’s more, to make sure his base remains in place, he remains as confounded and obsequious as ever as he capitalizes on cryptocurrency to the tune of $1.4 billion while nearly 1 million investors in the memecoin collectively lost $3.81 billion. So much gullibility from those betting on the $Trump token.

The snake oil salesman who claims he could shoot a person on Fifth Avenue and get away with it strikes again, and once more, the American people have been hoodwinked.
