The Trump administration has been through two White House press secretaries since the beginning of his second term, including one that lasted less than a week. So who’s in line for the job next?

Did someone say Nicki Minaj?

After flying aboard Air Force One, the Trinidad-born “Super Bass” rapper was teased for the job.

On Oct. 25, White House communications director Steven Cheung shared a conversation aboard the plane with Minaj to X. In the video, Cheung asks Minaj a series of questions about President Donald Trump.

In the caption, Cheung advocates for the rapper to join the White House team as press secretary. “Ladies and gentlemen, I think we may have found the new White House Press Secretary! @NICKIMINAJ.” he said.

In response, the White House’s X account replied with an eyeball emoji.

In addition, Trump’s advisor, Alex Bruesewitz, joined the conversation in support of Minaj. “Hey Barbz, what do we think about this idea??” he said.

So far, there’s no news that she’s being taken seriously as a contender for the position to replace Katie Zacharia who lasted all of five days in the role. Prior to Zacharia, Karoline Leavitt filled the role until the end of August.

Minaj has come out as a vocal supporter of MAGA and Trump. On the same day as her informal nomination, Minaj attended a campaign rally with Trump in Port Huron, Mich., where she shared her experience flying on Air Force One and urged people to vote for Republican candidates. Trump later made controversial comments about her rear end.

At the rally, she also vowed to honor and support President Trump forever. “If you run again, I will support you again,” she said. Trump is constitutionally barred from seeking a third term.
