It was just 10 years ago in Detroit, Michigan when the first national APOC conference had taken place. The coordinators of this convergence, have known each other either directly or indirectly from years of organizing, and through APOC connections.

From July12-15 the group, APOC (Anarchist People of Color) will reunite and gather at 1024 Elysian Fields ave, New Orleans, Louisiana, and welcome anyone of color with open arms to discuss and re-cap anti-authoritarian visions and skills for the future. This particular gathering is only open to color people.

Their goal is to make sure that the people of color understand the root causes of injustice. Also, through parties, plenaries, workshops, panels and etc they wish to discuss what it means to organize as anarchists; people-of-color movement history; etc.
