Community Public Radio recently released new programming for its lineup.

In June of this year, CPR began producing a daily five -minute world and national news headlines package, “Headlines From Community Public Radio,” available for air at 6 a.m. and noon Eastern Time. The packages feature original content from CPR, as well as content from international and domestic partners and producers.

In August, CPR began producing “CPR Sunday,” featuring political analysts Eric Draitser in New York and Mark Sleboda in Moscow discussing world events, hosted by CPR News senior editor Don DeBar.

CPR News is presented by Community Progressive Radio, home to a group of former Pacifica Radio programmers and producers and operator of Internet radio station CPRmetro.org. It first launched “The CPR News,” a daily 30-minute radio news program covering world and U.S. national news, Sept. 30, 2013.

“The CPR News” was originally conceived to fill the void in progressive radio news coverage left by the sudden closure of Free Speech Radio News in 2013.
