The Sisters Network of Central New Jersey is hosting their 17th annual Health Fair Saturday, April 29, from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Doubletree Hotel, located at 200 Atrium Drive in Somerset.

Guest speakers include Dr. Denise L. Johnson Miller, medical director of breast surgery at the Meridian Cancer Center. There will also be health screenings, mammograms and breast health information along with entertainment and a breakfast. Awards are being given to local volunteers and organizations for work in the fight against breast cancer. This year’s honorees include the New Jersey Chapters of Delta Sigma Theta, the Women’s Guild of Bound Brook, First Baptist Lincoln Church and North Shelton AME Church.

The Sisters Network is a national African-American breast cancer survivorship organization that serves as a resource for women battling the disease. The organization was formed in 2000 and provides daily hands-on services for the newly diagnosed, callers, visitors and breast cancer survivors, and holds monthly survivorship meetings.
